Psalms 14:1-7

Psalm 14
For the director of music. Of David.
Ps 14:1 Fools say in their hearts,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
there is no one who does good.
Ps 14:2 The Lord looks down from heaven
on the human race
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
Ps 14:3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.
Ps 14:4 Do all these evildoers know nothing?
They devour my people as though eating bread;
they never call on the Lord.
Ps 14:5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
for God is present in the company of the righteous.
Ps 14:6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
but the Lord is their refuge.
Ps 14:7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord restores his people,
let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Psalms 14:1-7

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
Ps 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. 5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous. 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge. 7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
